AN EXILE
I recall the albatrosses on the shores of the Baltic Sea, lying dead in the winter sunset. Sailors would not allow them to land on the decks of their boats, hence they had to fly all across the sea and the lands to reach the sunny southern coasts. They died of exhaustion. Or so says the legend.
Portrait
Constantly fascinated by psychological analysis and inclined to an introspective approach to the visual arts, Daniela Caraman often expresses the deepest feelings of the inner self through portraits.
The turmoil, the thoughts, the suffering, as well as hope and joy, are all interconnected in the compositional plan.
Rendered in an abstract style and built upon a limited palette accentuated by a few color accents, this portrait hints at a redefinition of emotional balance.
A balance expressed in the form of a disturbing and yet exciting story.
