A MYSTERIOUS ENCOUNTER
Back in the 1970s, a sign in Venice read ‘Beware of the falling angels’. The colossal white statues of the angels from the portal of Santa Maria della Salute were slowly starting to break, threatening unsuspecting passers-by with their celestial weight.
Flight
An angel wing unexplicably fallen from the splendour of light that gave it life, the lofty domes that unite Heaven and Earth. A celebration of birth beyond Time. A primeval shape, randomly encountered in the empirical space of ideas.
The tense juxtaposition of white translucent palette knife strokes and chrome green accents leads from the tip of the wing to its magnificent scarlet root through a multitude of shades, hinting at a mysterious encounter, or the mystery of matter itself.
